QPR auction only existing Odemwingie shirt

QPR will be auctioning the only Peter Odemwingie shirt that was made ahead of his failed move from West Brom to QPR in January 2013.

Odemwingie, then of West Brom, thought he had secured a Deadline Day switch to QPR in January 2013 and drove to Loftus Road believing he would complete the formalities on the deal.

Instead, the Nigeria international was left outside Loftus Road in his car and refused entry into the stadium after both clubs maintained a fee had not been agreed.

In preparation for his transfer, QPR's head of retail Francis Atkinson made up a Odemwingie shirt, which is now being auctioned by the club on Wednesday at 4pm.

'Aston Villa exploring deal for Gremio forward Alysson'

Aston Villa are exploring a deal for Gremio forward Alysson, according to The Athletic.

It is claimed Villa are expected to make an offer for the 19-year-old, with the right-winger fitting the profile of the attacker the club want.

Unai Emery's side have reportedly already registered a strong interest in Alysson, who scored once and provided two assists in the Brazilian top flight this season.

The report also says that, as well as potentially signing a winger in January, Villa are keen to recruit a centre-forward to provide depth behind Ollie Watkins.

Villa's reported winter window plans come with the club just three points off Premier League leaders Arsenal after they defeated the Gunners 2-1 at home on Saturday.

Villa also sit third in the Europa League table and are on course to qualify for the knockout stages of the competition.

Salah reports for training with future at Liverpool in question

Mohamed Salah reported for Liverpool training on Tuesday morning with his future at the club in question.

The Egypt forward was left out of the Reds travelling squad for the Champions League tie away to Inter Milan on Tuesday night following his extraordinary outburst after the Premier League match at Leeds on Saturday.

He instead reported for training at the clubs Kirkby base on Tuesday morning and posted a picture of himself in the training ground gym.

Liverpool head coach Arne Slot said on Monday evening he had no clue whether Salah would play for the club again after his tirade at Leeds.

Asked whether Salah had played his last game for Liverpool, Slot replied: I have no clue. I cannot answer that question at this point in time.

I am a firm believer that there is always a possibility to return for a player. I can leave it with that I think.

Salah signed a new contract in April which made him the clubs highest-paid player, but said following the Reds match at Leeds that he had been thrown under the bus by the Merseyside club.

Salah said he was very, very disappointed to have been named among the substitutes for the third-successive match, and added: I got a lot of promises in the summer and so far I am on the bench for three games so I cant say they keep the promise.

I said many times before that, I had a good relationship with the manager and all of a sudden we dont have any relationship.

I dont know why but it seems to me, how I see it, that someone doesnt want me in the club.

Salah is due to be absent from the team later this month in any case, with the Africa Cup of Nations getting under way on December 21.

Under-pressure Alonso refuses to rule out Premier League return

Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso has not ruled out managing in the Premier League one day.

Alonso is under huge pressure at the Santiago Bernabeu following just two wins in seven La Liga matches, including a 2-0 defeat at home to Celta Vigo on the weekend when they had two players sent off, left them four points behind archrivals Barcelona at the top of La Liga.

Speaking ahead of his side's Champions League clash with Man City in the Spanish capital on Wednesday night, Alonso was quizzed on the possibilities of him taking charge of a Premier League club were he to leave Los Blancos.

"For sure," answered Alonso, who won the Champions League as a Liverpool player during his time at Anfield between 2004 and 2010.

"There's this bond with the English clubs and for sure with my former club, but at the moment this is my place, this is where I want to be.

"In the future, you never know what could happen."

'Bournemouth want Semenyo to stay until summer'

Bournemouth want Antoine Semenyo to stay until the end of the season despite interest from Premier League clubs over a January move, according to BBC Sport.

Last month,  that becomes active in January, but the release clause price drops in the summer of 2026.

Last week, Your Site News reported that Tottenham are intensifying their interest in the 25-year-old ahead of the January transfer window. But Spurs face competition from Liverpool and Manchester City for the Ghana international.

In a fresh report, it is claimed that the Cherries would prefer to either keep Semenyo for the rest of the season by selling him at a lower price later, or agree a pre-contract in January for him to move after next summer's World Cup.

Andoni Iraola's side are reportedly exploring replacements, but do not have anyone immediately lined up.

Garnacho: I have no regrets over Man Utd exit

Chelsea winger Alejandro Garnacho says he has no regrets over his Manchester United summer exit.

The Argentina international joined the Blues in a 40m deal in August after he had pushed to leave Old Trafford.

The 21-year-old was no longer in Man Utd boss Ruben Amorim's plans, leading to an unsavoury departure.

Asked whether he had any regrets over his Man Utd exit, Garnacho replied: "No."

Then asked whether he was sad how it finished, he again replied: "No."

Garnacho later added on his switch to Stamford Bridge: Sometimes in life you have to change things to maybe take a step forward or to improve as a player.

I think it was the right moment, also the right club. So it was an easy decision.

Slot 'has no idea' if Salah will play for Liverpool again

Liverpool head coach Arne Slot says he was "surprised" by Mohamed Salah saying their relationship had broken down - and has cast doubt on whether the forward will play again for the club.

'I thought it was a disgrace' - Carra's response to Salah IN FULL

Carra: Salah comments a disgrace - but I hope he plays for Liverpool again

Jamie Carragher has labelled Mohamed Salah's bombshell interview "a disgrace" but hopes he has not played his final game for Liverpool.

Will Salah leave Liverpool in January?

Your Site News' Kaveh Solhekol:

"I'm not so sure. He doesn't hold the cards, Liverpool hold the cards. He's still got 18 months left on his contract. Apparently, he earns 400,000 a week.

"Who out there is in a position to pay a big transfer fee for Mo Salah and also to pay his wages?

"Al Hilal have tried to sign him in the past. They made a late, late bid of 150m 18 months ago when he was younger.

"Is there interest in Saudi Arabia for Mo Salah? Of course there is. Especially because Cristiano Ronaldo is getting to the end of his career. They need a new figurehead for the Saudi Pro League.

"But times have changed in Saudi Arabia. There is not as much money in Saudi Arabian football as there used to be. They're looking at signing younger players.

So if Mo Salah is just doing this because he wants to join Al Hilal or Al Nassr in January, I don't think it is going to be that easy because the days of Saudi Arabia just putting unlimited cash on the table in front of players are gone.

Yes, there is interest, but I'm not sure how strong that interest is at the moment.

And any Saudi clubs who would want to sign him are actually in a stronger position now because he's basically come out and said, I want to go. I'm going to say goodbye to the Liverpool fans on Saturday.

"So anybody who's trying to sign him kind of can go to Liverpool and say, Look, you've got an unhappy player on your hands. We're willing to take him. But Liverpool are far too smart, far too clever. They're not going to fall for his antics. They're the ones who are in control of this situation, not the player.
